Google Profitability Study

This study shows the benefit of a SmartStops exit strategy for holding Google Stock between 2005 and 2008. The study was conducted for 1,000 Google shares with no variance in size of shares purchased during the entire period. The stocks were sold on a SmartStops signal and repurchased if the stock hit a 20-day high. All proceeds available from the previous sale of the stock were reinvested on a stock by stock basis

Results

While Buy & Hold only made $10,550, Short-Term SmartStops made $312,860 on 12 trades. Long-Term SmartStops proved even more profitable by making $437,210 on only 10 trades.
